When is the earliest I can withdraw from my Compound pension, and are there any exceptions?
Generally, the earliest you can access your Compound pension is age 55, though this age limit will increase to 57 in 2028.
However, there are some exceptions. If you’re unable to work due to serious illness or have a terminal condition, you may be eligible to withdraw your pension before 55.
If you pass away before reaching 55, your Compound pension can be transferred to those you’ve nominated, such as a spouse, civil partner, dependent child, or others you choose. They’ll have the option to take it as an income or use the funds to purchase an annuity.
